The final release on the Rhythm & Sound label, now over two decades old and still unfathomably deep.
Again stretching to almost album length, both tracks here feel like the blueprint reaching its final form, looped and coroded steppers dub edged into a blissed, shapeshifting state. Aground on the A-side stretches to almost 13 mins of frayed subs that, like pretty much the entire label catalogue, could have been an hour and 13 minutes and still not feel too long. Aerial on the flip introduces a vocal vapor-trail by Tikiman, providing a full stop for one of the most perfectly formed label catalogues of all time.
