Music From Memory recollect two bubbling and wonderfully prescient electronic mood & grooves by San Francisco’s Joel Graham, who only released two tapes in 1984/85, with these tracks included among them.

There’s a lot of music from the early ‘80s which can hold some sort of claim as the root of this or that, but the similarities between Night’s slowly layered, hypnotic development and current trends for supple, rolling structures is pretty uncanny and shows Graham was well ahead of his time, whilst Geomancy operates somewhere between Monoton’s drily efficient mechanics and the earliest Chris CXarter solo output, before heading off on more personally melodic and cutely expressive tangents.
