With Distillation, he presents his purest reduction of his influences, liquifying the frameworks of the aforementioned established styles to find a viscous, dub wise pressure point that works more by inference and gesture than explicit generic conventions. Each cut appears to exist in a flux of states, warming up with a non-newtonian dancer, Crossroads before working into a haze of gamelan-esque resonance and uniquely elliptical bassline drift in Waft, whilst Narrow pinches a distended sub roil into polymetric dub sludge, and Tendency rolls right off the bone in a melted sequence that sounds like quasi-speed flashcore meets hyper-minimal D&B.
