In operation for 30 years, Arkology carry the weight of ages in their adroit yet heavy trodding, biorhythmic take on dub. This session is their first since 2015 and serves two straight winners with an A-side, ‘Fire Dub’ sounding like Rat Heart & MJB on a dub tip with its pinging, almost Memphis-like cowbells synced to screwballs FX and nagging vocal motif, whereas ‘Education Dub’ settles down to an effortless, dusky type of roots lean rippling with Nyabinghi and skin-massage subs and Lolina-like vocal loop.
