Move D & Pete Namlook – Reissued 2
awaylmtd002
Move D and dearly departed spar Pete Namlook take all the time they need to get you in an ambient house lather
Like the first ‘Reissued’ session in 2019, this one brings a pair of previously CD-only deep cuts to vinyl for the first time. Both are sourced from the duo’s prolific string of collaborations on Fax +49-69/450464 from the ‘90s into the ‘00s, and beautifully represent the explorative spirit of the era with gently insistent groves and heady, layered electronics that loosely echo strains of deep, US ambient house and techno as much as the UK’s AI movement, but with their own, sleekly German sense of aerodynamism and sensuality. The 12 minute ’Silk Route (Part1)’ was originally found on 2008’s ‘Travelling the Silk Route’ and, as the title implies, blends ephemeral traces of subcontinental melody with their signature effortless groves to luscious effect primed for long DJ sets and touching-out back home, where the somnambulant pulse and drift of ‘Sleeplearnin’ from 2006’s ‘Sons of Kraut’ CD will also take best effect.
