Ampoule's Pub returns with a fresh remaster of the classic 'Summer' and a brand new track titled 'The Fragile Root'

It is the Scottish producer's first solo output since the ethereal ‘Touch Absence’ in 2017. The three-track EP arrives after last year’s remix of Björk and an extensive period touring his live A/V show internationally.

Glasgow’s excellent Somewhere Press return with their inaugural vinyl release, the debut album proper from Madelyn Byrd aka Slowfoam. Mining the seam between ecology and technology, Byrd offsets syrupy, dissociated electronics with sparse acoustic instrumentation and expressive field recordings, landing somewhere between Ulla, Marja Ahti and Andrew Pekler’s virtual exotica.

On "Intertextural", Manuel Tur delves into more cinematic ambient and trip-hop realms, reminiscent of short interludes from 1990s classic electronica albums.

On "Fireworks," the mood is malevolent with synth shrapnel crisscrossing a stately, choral progression.

Landing in 1998 between the endlessly imitated Chiastic Slide (1996) and the deceptively impenetrable ‘Confield’ (2001), LP5 and the following year’s EP7 feature some of Ae’s most effortlessly fucked rhythm mechanics; less abstract than much of what came after it, more complex and interwoven than what preceded it - just end-to-end brilliance.
