There’s a country blues standout by Bruce Langhorne (session player for Bob Dylan) on the gorgeous ‘Leaving Del Norte’, nestled next to an instant ohrwurm in the shimmering new wave of ‘Sarra’ (1983) from Gary Davenport, sublime chamber folk from The Rising Storm, a symphonic string-backed ballad by Joyce Heath, and stepping post-punk jangles by Angel, each epitomising the range and depth of picks on offer.
